F4 Magneto Short Circuiting Device 30039D

Does anyone have pictures of the magneto short circuiting device, which could be fitted to F4 magnetos? The F12 Parts Catalog lists the part numbers, but does not show an exploded diagram. Any help gratefully received.

If you are wanting to add a "Kill" switch:
- Drill a small hole on rear of housing
- Run a wire thru the hole to connect the condenser to a H/M "On-Off" switch

This gives you an easy, sure way to kill the engine by grounding the mag.

I think that would work well. The question arises because I bought an F12 with what appears to be a connection for a switch on the side of the housing.

When everything is right , it will short out when you move the advance lever to fully retard.

When I put this remote control together I had to have an emergency shutoff on the F-4 magneto, the advance
lever shutoff works okay but if the binder came unhooked a grounding switch would be better. At home I found
an advance lever/points cover that had a grounding pole in it and it works great, I would have to look and see
if it was actually an F-4 cover or an E4A cover that fits, don't remember.
Since then I decided instead of a toggle switch I think I will put on a car trailer breakaway switch also just
in case. If I get in a tight spot I can use the toggle, if it comes unhooked it will kill without my help.
This was pretty important as one time I forgot to put the hairpin in the hitch pin and after takeoff several times
the pin came out from the binder rearing up.
