Needing Thermostat for 48 H

Their on this site (Part No: R1852) they are different than a standard automotive type. Matching the OD of the plate, and installing a non standard t-stat might be just fine. Be sure it has a bleed hole to allow trapped air to get past it (usualy has a loose pin in the hole) The tractor will not get warm puttsing around. Partially blocking the bypass port to about 3/8 inch hole is a solution that helps them get warm when under light load, but won't prevent full cooling. Jim

I found a t'stat at Autozone that fit my H. If memory serves it was for a mid-70's GM big block V8 (Olds 455, Chevy 427/454, etc)

It doesn't have the long extension like the OEM thermostat. But it fit into the housing and works fine.
