Hi Guys,

Although I've been on the site a lot I've now become a member and am in need of assistance!

Awhile back I purchased a 1952 Super C, awesome machine.
Not too long ago I walked in the barn hopped on the tractor pulled the ignition switch then got distracted by something and got off my tractor. The following day getting back on my tractor to complete what I had started out to do the previous day the batter was dead as expected, problem, now my battery will no long hold a charge.. Thoughts??

I attempted to attach a picture of my "new" beautiful machine but that didn't work..

Thanks,
JB

First off is it 6 or 12 volts?? + or - ground?? If + ground did you by chance hook up the charger backwards as is + on - and - on +?? Or your battery was about died on you any how.

By the way you best be looking at cleaning your points or maybe replacing them because the yare likely to be burned from being left on. Plus while not a big chance your coil may or may not be bad or may go bad soon

Thanks for the input, 6 volt positive ground. She starts up like a champ if I leave a tender on it or jump it, sorry I forgot to mention that before.

If you have it hooked up + to + and - to - as you should good chance the battery is toast then

Well, that would be good news scenario, thanks!

If it still runs but has to have extra power to run that means the point and coil are ok. I'd pull the battery and take it and have it checked at an auto parts store they have the equipment for that

Excellent, thanks! Hopefully I'll figure out how to post a picture on here at some point and I can put a picture up.
