stay rod cap for 560 farmall wide front end

The bolts must have come loose because I lost this cap. I ordered a new one from the Y-T parts site. Can anyone tell me what size and length bolts I need to get ? Thanks in advance for any help . Lee

Regular farmall 560 used 1/2 X 3 long bolts for the cap. May have longer ones with nuts installed if hole threads in saddle failed sometime. Think the fellow mixed a high crop wide front that said 5/8 bolts.

If the bolts are working loose in the cap for the stay ball. You have either poor threads in the casting, or slop in the center pin bushing on the axle.

Bob the parts listing for the 560 is WRONG they are NOT 5/8ths they are 1/2 inch bolts , you have two long bolts and the rear bolt is a bit shorter , and since he LOST the bolts he a also lost the lock plate , Heres a little FYI NEVER USE LOCK WASHER to hold that piece as they will work loose . The ft. wide ft. is the same mount up from the S/MTA's on up thru the 56 and bolt for bolt is the same.

When you get your new part and your new bolts and they should be 1/2 x3 not a 5/8th bolt do not use lock washers , you need the tin lock tab and one more added bit of lets keet them bolts in place is to clean out the threads with a tap flush them out with brake clean, either, carb cleaner and blow dry clean the bolts the same way and use nothing softer then a grade five bolt then add Loctite BLUE , someday you may want to work on it again .
