International 444 farm tractor. Questions

Young man that I work with is looking at a international 444 tractor in a used tractor cell lot and he wants to know what to look for before he makes an offer any help would be appreciated thanks

Gas or Diesel? Very reliable tractor if maintained correctly. Look for hydraulic leaks, test transmission clutch by putting in 2nd or 3rd high range and apply brakes and see if it will almost stall the engine, check PTO clutch by trying to engage PTO and see if there is no grinding of gears. If Diesel check crankcase oil level and verify that glow plugs are working. Should only require glow plugs for first start of the day. Should start without glow plugs after first start.
