cub pto direction of rotation

Just recently purchased a cub farmall and noticed the PTO shaft runs counter clock wise. Is this correct or has my tractor or my mind been tinkered with?

IHC sold a gear reduction unit that mounted to the pto and dropped it down to 540 rpm and reverses the direction. It also had a 1-1/8 6 spline output.

Think of the Cub's PTO as essentially an extension of the transmission input shaft. This means it rotates in the same direction and at the same rotational speed as the engine which is around 1600 rpm.

Only company I ever heard of was Hub City Mfg, they also made the gearbox for the rear pto correction of
the gear drive Cub Cadets.
