Super A Fuel Question

I just got done putting a new kit in the zenith carb on my 1948 Super A, but now it doesn't run the smoothest with the choke all the way in, if I pull the choke half out, the engine will smooth out better. I've adjusted the float twice letting more gas in the bowl but still no change. Anything else I should check or do?

When one rebuilds a carb you need to. Soak the carb in a good carb cleaner for 24 or so hours. Then you need to blow it out with air and then spray it out with carb cleaner spray then poke out all the passage ways with a small piece of wire or as I do a torch tip cleaner tool or you will leave rust/dirt behind which will cause the problems your having,
