Splitting a Cub

This little Cub followed me home today, rear main is leaking, going to split it when this Alabama heat gets out here this fall. Any advice on making the repair would be greatly appreciated. It runs good, cuts good, brakes are good and came with a belly mounted cultivator for $800, I have the original front tires for it as well, previous owner put atv tires on the front

While you have it spilt I would are the very least replace the carbon throw out bearing if it has that type and maybe also check the clutch and se how badly worn it is. Those carbon throw out bearings go bad often

The new seal wont fit the retainer very well, and it will leak. THis was discussed a couple of years back, but the search function is worthless, so Google Farmall Cub Oil Seal.
