350 dash cowling

Well, I won, I guess,,,,,. By the time I realized that I should have pulled the shifter on my 350 to remove the back dash cowling I'd already reached the point where it was coming outta there, heck or high water, with the stick still in. Like some others I know I keep piles of I&T books around only as a last resort. I'm thinking the gear shift my come out before I reverse the procedure tho,,,,,,, gm

On my 450s, I have to pull the seat assembly, battery box, shifter and the trans fill cover. If you have the selector on outer valve poking thru the hood, it's a tight fit pulling the dash back. Some wriggling required. The hydraulic valve handles being where they are make pulling the dash way more difficult.

Chris, I think with the shifter out of the way, (3 bolts), it'll wallow right back in, of course tach cable,,,,,choke cable,,,,, Ign. switch,,,,,,,. :-( gm
