Got the wrench out!

Some of you may recall my post last week when I lost a wrench in the rearend of my 560. I pulled the pto assembly out and there it was. Got
the gears all lined up again and put it all back together, but now the pto is out of whack. Runs non-stop. Thought I had everything lined up right.
It went back together fairly easy. Can I adjust it by changing the position of the arm on the side of the unit?

I assume you took off the belt pulley drive under the fuel tank. It has a lever on it that switches in into and out of gear. There should be no reason it got displaced as it came off with the unit. Moving the lever is what puts it into gear or out. Move it. Jim

Guess I'm not following you. I took the pin out that connects the pto lever to the arm on the side of the pto unit. I then removed the bolts that hold the unit in and pulled it out. I didn't go anywhere near the fuel tank. Didn't belt pulleys on 560's mount on the rear of the tractor?

Do you have the early or late Pto? Early has a small rod where you press with your thumb on top of pto lever and late has big square button. Early style can be adjusted in place but late style has to be taken out to adjust clutches.

My 560 has a mid mount belt pulley.

Both were available.

Late style. Didn?t want to go through all that. Worked fine before. Can?t figure out why it got out of
whack.

That?s alright. When a guy has as much knowledge as you do, I suppose you can slip once in awhile. You?ve helped me out many times and I appreciate it.
