Just curious, Is/was 1947 the end of production for the model A?

By the serial number guide on this site, yes it was. The super A was produced in 1948.

Yes 47 was the last yr for the A some SAs were built starting in late part of 47 at the Louisville plant. Production of the A stopped at the assy plant in Chicago. Serial #s of the Louisville As started at 200,000

Yes according to the Louisville records the last A (or B since their numbers ran together) was 220829, built on Dec. 15, 1947. The first Super A was 250001, built on 12-22-47. 81 Super A tractors were built in 1947.
