H pto shaft

I have a 1940 H that I found that the dogs on the shaft are worn and will not engage under a load. It's a 1 1/8 inch shaft. Will a shaft from a 45 h that is an 1 3/8" work? I'm thinking that the spring could be week. Where could I buy a new parts?

Unless it was built in late 40 the 45 won't work. Needs to be serial number 45614 or higher for the 45 to work unless the transmission counter shaft is also changed to type used 45614 and up.
