Super A1 Water Pump

The water pump on my super A1 leaks where the pump pulley is. The pulley wobbles pretty good. Do I need a new water pump?

Better repair or replace it before fails completely and the fan winds up stuck in the radiator core.

For an experienced person, NOT typically too tough to press apart and replace bearing and seal. Occasionally, casting will break, though!

Or, this very site has complete new units for $85.91.

I've never heard of that happening on these. The water pump is mounted lower on the left hand side, completely separate from the fan mount. Worst case, if the bearing of the water pump failed, it would break the belt, but surely it wouldn't cause the fan to break away from it's mount. I guess I could be wrong though.

I could envision it wobbling around, hitting something and hitting the radiator. Maybe not the best odds but fixing the pump is way cheaper than fixing the radiator in my opinion. I had a fan blade break off on my 300U, don't know why but went through the radiator. The fan was cheap, the radiator wasn't.
