Water leak on farmall 100

I've posted this a couple of times before - tractor giving off white smoke. It needs a couple of minutes to warm up before it happens. I pulled the head this week and found water had been running into #4
cylinder. I had the head checked last year when I had the valves done so I'm sure it isn't cracked (tractor has had white smoke first day I started it up). I don't seen any cracks in the sleeve and have about
100 psi compression so I'm hoping it was just the head gasket leaking. Last head gasket had a metal side (placed down on the block) and what ever that grey material is against the head. My new head gasket is
metal on both sides. Anything I should do or look for while I have it apart. I'm assuming I need to use a sealer on the head gasket. While I had it apart I found all kinds of crap in the water jacket,
including a snake skin. The tractor had sat for many years missing the radiator and water pump so junk got in there. I flushed all that out as part of getting ready for the new gasket.

Some of those head gaskets require sealer and even say so right on it. I have had really good luck using the spray on copper gasket sealer and have never had one leak using that and following the times listed to let it get tacky before installing.
I know the last few 123's I rebuilt said Sealer/Retorque required right on the new headgasket.

I always use a few coats of copper spray sealant. Then torque to spec. Don?t forget to retorque after running it a while.
