I inherited a 1964 Cub from my dad. I am a newbie. This Cub will start great and run great but only once. It will not start again while it is warmed up. If I let it sit awhile, it will start again. Down anyone have any advice?

Do some simple trouble shooting. Use it and the when done shut it down then do these
things.
#1 check that you have a good blue/white spark at the center wire of the distributor and at the 4 plug wires that jump a 1/4 inch gap or more.
#2 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas out of the carb drain plug that will fill a pint jar in les then 3 minutes.
#3 when was the last time you serviced the air cleaner and made sure it was not clogged up

I would also add, after you start and run the tractor for awhile, stop the tractor, get off and put your hand on the coil. Should be able to hold it there without "getting burned". If the coil is that hot it is likely bad.
