How do i know if i got the coupler on the drive line on M, put together correctly, i drove 8 miles the and rear main seal is throwing out oil, bummer! Help, i didnt mark it, when i took it apart last year!!

dont know what you are referring to? if the rear main is leaking then it needs a seal, that simple. u talking about the coupler from the clutch pilot shaft to trans input shaft?? yes it goes one way. if installed incorrrectly you will know as soon as you step on clutch pedal. i found out when i was 16 years old and put a clutch in a w6. took back apart and turned it and all was well . no manual's to follow either, just did the job as dad was working and needed to work field.

I'm guessing the seal you are talking about is the input seal to the transmission. If you had just put a new one it and it is already leaking, then you either damaged during installation or the bearing behind it is bad and allowing the shaft to move around within the seal too much.

I didn't put in a new seal, it's engine oil that's on the tractor, i put the new bolt's in the coupler last year, because i had the belly pump out !!

That's what i was thinking the rear main engine seal, i built a step on there to stand on when i put in Gas, and that feels like and looks like engine oil on there !!

Pretty easy to find out pull the access plates on the bottom and give it a look. If you are thinking there is a premature engine oil leak due to the coupler being installed incorrectly that is not a worry. The engine flywheel and crank are held in position by the main thrust bearing on the crankshaft. The position of the clutch shaft has no affect on the effectiveness of a rear engine seal.
