I am trying to identify the year model of my 856. I have looked at the tractor data site and they show the following years and serial numbers:
1967: 7501
1968: 7904
1969: 9016
1970: 9544
1971: 9653
My serial number stars with 2610. how to I determine the year model?

Check and see what engine you have
806 used 361
856 used 407

first digits of the engine serial # are 407, so I am assuming the engine is a 407. Had the engine rebuilt about 4 years ago, mechanic did not have any issues buying parts for an 856.

Are you sure the first number is a 2 and not a 7
