How to Wire Lights on Farmall Super C

I am fixing up my 1952 Farmall Super C and I am rewiring the head lights. The wires to them probably have been disconnected or cut years ago. So what is the trick to run the wire from the light switch in the gauge box up through the T to each light? The old wire is still in there, and I don't want to pull it out in case I need it to fish the new wire up through the T to the lights. In fact, it appears to be in there pretty snug and hard to pull out. Thanks in advance.

The easiest way to run them is to splice the new wire to the old wire and use it to pull the new wire in place. That is used in most any wiring where you have to have the wires in a tube of some sort be it in a house or car or tractor. BTDT many, many times

If old wires are not usable I have used a piece of heavy wire, electrician fish tape, or an old CB antenna rod.

Push in from opposite end, tape new wire to it and pull through.

I took the light bar/mount column off the tractor, then made the 'T' wiring part. Taped a long string to the wire that goes vertically, and attached a nut on other end of string. Then fold the wires with the lower wire parallel to one of the light wires. Dropped the nut through the light bar open end let it slide in and down the cast column. Grab it and slowly fish in the folded/2 wires. Pull the string as the vertical wire gets near the cast opening at light bar. Done! Sounds harder than it was..

just rip out all the old wiring and redo it all , theres not that much wire on a tractor , should only take a couple of hours and a small amount of wire

Thanks, I will give that a shot. I really do not want to take the T off the tractor. I am hoping the pathway is not filled with a mud dappers nest or anything and it slides through okay.

Spray some brake cleaner spray in before you try to push or pull any thing. That will tell you if it is all clogged up.

Ours were very hard to pull out. Lots of back and forth and I think a can of WD 40 or something like that to help flush the crap out. Dirt, rust, rotten insulation jamming up. They did eventually give. Pulled a piece of spare wire in with the old going out. Used the spare as a fish to pull in the new.

Easiest way i have found is i use a 3/8ths long drill bit and just run it thru wires no wires your replacing them anyway . Years of dirt and rust build up mud dobbers and what have ya are GONE and ya have a nice clean hole to work with .

At the risk of not getting an answer, I will add to this thread a related question. I am rewiring the 1952 Super C lights. I did get the old wire out of the T but it was a bear to get out and I have not fished the new wire through yet. I think the insulation kind of blocked things.

Anyway, the fuse has two wires coming out of it. One goes to the light switch. The other wire has been cut but it looks like it goes to the ignition switch but I am not sure which side. Does anyone have a better wiring diagram or picture of the wires for the light switch, fuse, etc., than what is in the parts book? Thanks in advance.
