SMTA not starting

FYI.....Earlier on this page I posted about an SMTA not starting and then starting when I turned the light switch on. Kinda tightened me up. Well, the pull on, push off switch was the problem. I by passed it and the tractor starts normally. New switch on order. Mattofvinnings stated that the switch might be bad and the light switch supplied the missing pathway. Right on target. I had no idea this could happen, but put it in your trouble shooting box of tricks in case it happens to you. Thanks to everyone. Best, Ellis

If the tractor still has a generator and voltage regulator I think something is wired wrong. From switch feed post to coil is a single wire than nothing else should be able to feed with switch off. Wire from L post on regulator feeds other post on switch and wire from there goes to fuse then to light switch. Even if the charging system is changed it's still not wired right if the light switch feeds the wire to coil.
