1946 Farmall B Crank

Rebuilding motor in a 1946 Farmall B. Took the crank pulley off, it was pressed on and had a keyway, it was on there tight, had to build a puller to get it off. Crank is shot, so got another crank but it's a little different. It has a keyway for the crank gear but no keyway for crank pulley. Instead it appears to have a drilled indentation on the crank for a set screw. My pulley does not have a set screw hole in it. Can a person just drill and tap the pulley and let it rip? If so, anyone have any measurements as to where to tap a hole in the pulley housing?

(quoted from post at 21:26:14 06/18/18) It will work. Measure 3 times drill once use a pointed set screw. locktite is your friend. Jim
Thank you sir, I will give it a go! Guess I could machine a keyway in the crank as well for the pulley. Do you know why the cranks were made with the two different designs? Just curious! Something to put in my memory bank for future arisings!

The super interference fit pretty much kept them from getting loose. The pulley is not to be used for timing (bottom center of flywheel in a hole) so
position is not critical. Jim
