I removed the differential so I could install new bearings on the upper transmission shaft. When I removed the differential I was careful
and kept all the shims and bearing carriers in order so the same ones would go back in the same as removed. Now the only way I can get
the differential ring gear to mate properly with the pinion gear is to put all the shims on one side and not in same order as removed. This
isn't my first ring and pinion job but now I am scratching my head trying to figure why this is not going together in the same order as it
came apart?? Any ideas?
