I needed new fittings for the oil pressure line. took the old fittings off the block and gauge and took them to town. The parts house i normally use was closed, so I had to go the other store. showed the fittings to the non English speaking employee and tried to explain to him what i needed. it fixed me up with some fittings with the same threads.

I installed the fittings and they leaked severely. My grandson's other grandfather works at the other parts house in town. took the old fittings to him and together we found the correct fittings.

I installed the new fittings and started Charlene up. Oil pressure came up and no leaks at either fitting. I guess you get what you pay for

I run a farm repair shop and I use the
"old school" parts store nearby , inthe
last 2years a major chain parts store has
gone in . I hear horror storys all the time
wrong parts , poor quality parts etc . I
still use my old reliable parts store.
