governor spring

i was going to put a new governor spring in the W4 just because i replaced a bunch of other parts , but i noticed on the new springs that they sell today, there about 1/8 longer than the original ones, i even checked with the spring on my H and it to was the orginal and it was also 1/8 shorter than the new one. would that make any difference? at slow speed on the throttle the old one is loose between the two holes, but i put the new one on and since it was 1/8 longer at slow speed throttle it kind of binds until you advance the throttle and then its loos between the holes , are these new springs going to work or not?

Will probably effect performance some. Buy try it,work it some and find out.Put your old spring back on if the new one doesn't work.

i did not put it on yet , maybe i'll give it a try , just seeing if someone else ever bought a new spring and checked to see if it was the same length and tried it and how was the results,
