Super C hydraulic WTF

The tractor has been functional a while after restore. Started it one day and the hydraulics wouldn't work. Low fluid but no leaks, filled and nothing. Started scratching my head, read TS guide and rechecked fluid a couple days later, low again... Recalled pump seal leaks go into crankcase. Opened top level petcock, got about a quart or so extra oil out.

Pump rebuild!! Finished rebuild, fired her up, no fast hitch action, but rock shafts work. So figured air trap, even after the bleeding per manual.

Started at the cylinder working my way back, fluid flow in only one direction at cylinder. I FINALLY tracked it down to the sticking plastic valve in the valve body right in front of the seat and a very small amount of debris in it. No clue what this valve body does and can't find it anywhere on reference materials.

Rechecked complete remote system and have good fluid flow both directions to cylinder. Cylinder was a fresh rebuild during restoration.

Here's where it gets REAL interesting....

Now the remote fast hitch hydraulics only work when I pull all 3 handles for the rock shafts and remote at the same time. The hitch operates slowly when it does move.

The valve in front of the seat is a flow fuse. It restricts the flow when you have a heavy implement on the fast hitch and keeps it from lowering at warp speed. Just a slow downward motion. If no one comes up with an answer about your problem, I have a trouble shooting guide I can look at in the morning.

Yep, tried this several, several times. The strange thing is it will work, with strength of movement, when I also move the rock shaft levers at the same time. I stood on the hitch during the movement and there is not any spongy feel to it at all.

Sounds like you still have debris in the system somewhere. I'd recheck that block/valve in front of the toolbox seat area. Is your screen filter in good shape too? Hope you find the problem.
