Very nice and straight old tractor. I have a soft spot for IH standards. One of my first tractor memories is sitting on Dad's 650 just before it sold. It had a steering wheel spinner and I was "driving" all over the farm. lol That green spinner is still in possession, its on Dad's 1939 F-20 at the farm. I also have his WD-9 now and another for parts.

It looks like your boy has made claim to your tractor! Do you have any more pics of the other two tractors from that farm? Did those get home also? At some point, I'd like to get a 650 of my own.

Gasoline only. The carb and muffler (pipe) on the left give it away. No small gas tank and no hole in the hood are indicative of not a distillate as well. Jim

The photos tell you it's a gas. See the carburetor on the left side and the distributor and coil on the right side. Another way to tell from a distance is to see which side of the hood the exhaust comes through - on the left it's a gas and on the right it's a diesel.

very nice, i would place a bet thats the original paint . i see the carb intake hose is gone, and some pretty hefty wheel weights which i am quite sure are not ih. even got the crank and batt. box cover. my kind of tractor. what year? guessing 52.
