We have a 1066 an there's a local tractor pull coming up soon. I was wondering what you guys were thinking was a semi safe spot for turning the fuel up an advancing the timing on the pump. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you

Crank the fuel up all you want, leave the timing alone. Advancing timing is not needed until you run 4000-5000 RPM. DON'T go over 3000 RPM with the stock flywheel, as the flywheel might explode like the 1206 did at a pull some years back..

I don't know how it worked but back in the eighties a friend had one and he somehow put a spray nozzle in the turbo and mounted a container behind the grill with a pump and filled the container with alcohol or water not sure but it cost one of the local farmers quite a lot of money trying to outpull him with his JD.
