You can buy pipe thread sealants that are rated for oil and gas. Check your hardware store.

Gasoila is the brand of gas and oil resistant thread sealant that most places are going to carry. They have been around forever and it is like saying you need a kleenex instead of a tissue.

[color=blue:507ed5583e][/color:507ed5583e] Yup I agree GasOila is the way to go. I found my small container at Tractor Supply. Some Automotive places might carry it as well, but not sure.

If you can't find Gasoila you can use Blue Magic or Permatex has a sealer that works for gasoline and they never harden.

My go-to thread sealant is Loctite "PST" 592.

I've worked in manufacturing plants for the last 20 years and that's been used on hydraulics, oil, gasoline, as well as typical air and water apps too. Its not cheap, but i have never complained about it.

I used it just last week for this same application on the Fcub I was working on.
