cultivating with my F14

Put in about 3 acres of corn this year and to get some hours on my all my tractors decided to put the cultivators on my 1938 F14 instead of my H. They are manual lift but I guess I haven't gotten too old for that yet. It is a nice tractor to cultivate with - tight steering and turns on a dime. Does a pretty good job of cultivating on almost no gas.

C.ool. I have a '37 F12 with that same cultivator. However it does not run-engine STUCK. you just might motivate me to 'fix/restore' and actually use it.

I pulled mine out of a junk yard in the late 80's and had a stuck engine. Mine has the hydraulic lift and it came with the plow that works off of it. I wish I had the cultivators that use the lift.

Charlie same cultivators just different bracket that goes on hand lift to link it to the hydraulic lift.

Charlie mine is a 1938 as I think is yours. I noticed the cast steering wheel. All my other F-14 have black Bakelite type steering wheel.

This picture was taken many years ago, the knobby tire were original. I lost one bake 2 years ago and the last one is not going to be around much longer. next year them tires would be 80 years old.

I like the feel of the cast steering wheel - I got it from a junk yard as mine had a junk steering wheel when I got it. I had the spoke wheels on mine too when I got it but they were loaded with calcium and it did a job on them so I got the cut offs instead. Tried steel wheels but I now know why those things got replaced with rubber. Good luck with your 80 year old tire. LOL

Thanks for the pic, its good to see folks still using these old tractors as they were intended,
makes for a good show.
