So I am a Farmall guy guy but have worked on all kind of tractors. I posted a message on the Ford forum but got no help. The question I have is a general one and not necessarily specific to the tractor I am working on. I have always received great advise from the guys on this forum so I was hoping it would be ok to ask.
Two cylinder diesel tractor spewing oil fro the dipstick hole while the tractor is running. Oil level was a little over full so I drained some oil out but it did not appear to be diluted with oil. I also confirmed that the blow-by tube was not plugged and loosening the oil filter cap did not change the guyser. So I am thinking there has to be something seriously wrong with this tractor for this to be happening such as rings, piston or maybe head or head gasket. I do not have a compression tester for diesel but looking for advise on what to look for and how to isolate before tearing it down.
