new tank fuel shut off valve

i need a new all fuel sediment bowl for my w4, has anyone made a different kind of fuel shut off for there tanks compared to buying a sediment bowl that costs upward of $80? i no all those aftermarket sediment bowls are garbage, dont want to spend all that money if its going to leak in a little while.

You might want to consider doing away with the sediment bowl, and installing a a ball valve shut-off with a lever. The correct type of in-line filter and rubber fuel line will complete the installation. If I ever have another sediment bowl assembly fail, or give trouble, I will go that route.

rusty, i already decided to go the ball valve route, i dont want any hassles with leaking fuel sediment bowls like everyone complanes about, went out and got all brass fittings, instead of steel, plus i got the proper thread sealer that doesnt get eaten up by gas.

I replaced the original sediment bowl on my M. It had some issues that couldn't be easily resolved. I replaced it with one of those aftermarket affairs. It is Okay I guess, but everytime I shut it off, I have to go find a wrench and tighten down the packing nut. THAT is starting to get old.
