Isn't that something? Bringing one back to life is a real thrill for me,
just got a 17-28 Twin City to run after 60 years or so, I always know its
possible but its still a surprise every time.

Good to hear. By making this post you are inspiring others to
do it.

Three years ago after my major overhaul I went through the
same highs and lows, now it probably runs better than it has
in 30 years.

i just brought a 340 back to live and now she purrrrrrs like a kitten. it's a lot easier to bring old rusty back to life then your wife. i couldn't bring her back.

It's a great feeling isn't it? I just got my 504 straightened out after having it for 3 years. Makes me want to start it often just to see the absence of white smoke or any excess black smoke. This is my first diesel project and it challenged me very much, being an old school diesel!

Tiss fun. I started about 20 years ago after I moved back home. My dad gave me his first WD and it had been sitting in the woods for over 10 years (had to cut a tree that was growing between the frame rails). This has been my work tractor. Then a 1939 JD B (bigger project then anticipated) and next a 1940 Farmall H. Great fun to get them going and moving under their own power.
