I have a bn I dragged home the rear end is locked up the rear tire's will not move at all.I unhooked the brake rodes and still nothing it seems to shift into all gears has been setting for year's. I have not got it running yet so can't put engine power to it but also don't want to break anything, any ideas ??

Even though you unhooked the brake rods, the bands may be stuck to the drums. Not sure how you would tackle this. If the trans itself is locked start pulling covers and to see what is wrong. Junk in the gears or locked up with water.

One like that can be many things so one has to trouble shoot a bit. Braked could be rusted up or the rear end could be bad and the reason it was parked or bearing could be rusted up etc.

If you unhooked the brake rods drive them back that mite just get them free. Are you sure the tranny is in neutral by removing the shift lever and having all the rails lined up

was hoping something easy but should of known better i have 8 bn's this one is the only one that wont roll may have to work on this one first thanks for the help.

I have just complete a full restoration on our late 46 ( August September build date). Just need two reasonable rear tires, my local farm tire shop is investigating that for me. Will post pictures by Monday. Wating for deals.
You mentioned a locked rear end on the one you just aquired, I concure with all said by others. If you find any sign of water in the trans/diff., area total disasemby and manual clean and flush is in order: a good practice in any ways while machine is down, rather than later. By the way I have developed a cap that eleviates, stops water from trickling down the shift lever into the trans.
Do a thurough job, won't regret it later.

Thanks I will be tearing it completely down. I tried to roll one side than the other using my excavator pushing down and back and forth on the tires I have 12 BN and B'S plus 5 A's just never had one locked up this bad this one was setting in a dry barn. Thanks again
