leaking fuel injector

IH 674 Diesel, started leaking fuel out of one of the inlet ports at the nut on the fuel pump. Fuel is dripping out from there at about one drip per second. Tried tightening the nut, but it won't move. Any tips on getting the nut to move? Is it okay to spray it with PB Blaster or something similar? Could the leak be coming from somewhere else and showing up on the nut before it drops off? I'm not a master mechanic! The delicate nature of the fuel injector pump makes me a bit nervous.

Loosen the nut a little, then TIGHTEN it.

If that doesn't help, it's real common for high pressure diesel injection lines to crack right at the end.

More likely the return line on the top of the injector leaking through the braid, and running down on the rest of the injector. Making it look like the rest of it is leaking. I've changed them a couple of tomes. If you take the line off cut the crimped end back so the end sticks out like a hose barb you can put different hose on going from one injector to the next as needed. The little flat pinch clamps will hold it to not leak if you go that route. The complete replacement hose was fright full in price last time I replace it.

You post is a little confusing..
You say its leaking at the inlet nut on the PUMP.. the inlet is in front of the pump.
I THINK your talking about the hi pressure OUTLET connector?? The piece that sticks out from the back, that the injector line hooks to.??
IF SO, there is a copper gasket under the HP connector.. they do leak from time to time..
If you want to send me your contact info, I'll send you some.
OR is the actual line leaking, where it connects to the pump & goes UP TO the injector?
