Lubing distributor weights

Curious how often you should be lubing the weight pins and with what lube? I didn't read anything in the manual about lubing the weight pivot pins. I put about a 100 hours a year on my Super C.

Thanks,
Dan

I never heard of a regular interval for lubricating the weights. What I usually do, I pull the distributor when doing a tune up like new points. When I have it off I pull breaker plate , weight retaining shield out and take weights and cam out to lube them. We used have a tube of what was labeled magneto grease that was used on the weights. I have been using chassis grease for many years. Little grease in groove and where weight slides . Little grease on shaft and drop or two of oil for the cam.
