Serial number identification

Hey yall I bought a super h farmall or its supposed to be according to the feller I bought it from he give me decals with it for a h farmall if the Identification is not on the clutch housing where else can I find out what I have because I don't wanna tell people that I have something that I don't or out wrong decals on it after paint

Serial number plate on an H will have a prefix of FBH. Super H will have a prefix of SH. On the engine block, behind the oil filter, Super H will have C 164. H will have a part number. Also, engine serial number is stamped into a flat boss area, just above the distributor. Super H will have disc brakes, but so did the last of the Hs produced in 1953.

(quoted from post at 18:58:58 04/25/18) That is not so. We have a 53 H bought new, it has the band brakes on it ,and is close to the last ones made.

Depending on who you ask, either the last 200 or 2000 -ish H's were made with Super H transmissions and rear ends presumably because they ran out of H rear ends and still had H engines left to use.

There were 1953 H's with both band brakes and disk brakes manufactured. I saw one of the last-last H's with disk brakes at an auction a couple of years ago. The serial number was 391-something, I know that much.
