Farmall B Starter Switch / Rod Position

I have been wondering, on the Farmall B, the starter switch on top of the starter can be installed facing forward or backward. This allows for the starter rod to be either pushed or pulled to start. Which direction is correct? Is it the rod to be pushed to start or pulled? My tractor didn't come with the rod so I bought one for it along with a new switch and the little linkage lever and depending on which way you screw the switch onto the starter it works either way but I would like to know which way is correct from the factory. Thanks

If the button is on the drive end and installed correct the sw will work only with a push rod. If the button is on the brush end the sw will work with a pull rod/ Now over the yrs many mistakes have been made with replacing the button getting it turned the wrong way. If your starter has the #1107021 it is for a B Farmall and the button will be on the drive end and the sw will be a push rod
