What did you end up doing with your 7140 leaking head gasket? I added a reply to that post.

Ordered a new gasket from CIH. Ordered head bolts from A.M and picked up CIH torque procedure. Was not impressed with the o-rings in the gasket. Thanks for the reply. I posted in the subject.

Hopefully you have better luck with head gaskets from Case IH. I sure don?t if the part number is J938267AM it a aftermarket head gasket which I?m about 99% sure CNH is getting from Reliance.

I have rebuilt probably 40 - 50 of those engines and they nearly all will leak coolant on the right and oil on the left eventually so I started putting a bead of gasket elimator on both sides of the gasket down each side , never had anymore leaks , I'll probably catch heck for saying that ,it worked I worked at Casih dealer 17 years

Well.... I think that's the one. CIH wanted $67 I took the number to cummins he wanted $116.
