photos of new arrival: Cub & implements

Brought home a 1948 Cub today. This one is a really nice package: tractor, Woods belly mower, land plow, discs, sickle bar mower, and cultivators. They even threw in a Shop Smith! With the package came all the history behind it, including the original owner's name, location (Ohio), old photos of the tractor, and original tractor & implement manuals.

The tractor had been sitting out & the motor is seized. The implements were out in the weather too. Probably will go through it next winter & use it to mow the lawn.

Pete, if you want a front pusher blade (or can be belly mounted if mower removed) to round out your implement collection, shoot me an email. I
am in N. central Ark and would let it go for nothing.

Sweet! I have Woods 59 C s on two cubs. Ms. Window and I cut the grass together. If I let it get
really out of hand I have to use 1st gear, but mostly they do fine in 2nd. They do a beautiful job on
the lawn. I don't think I am often any happier than prettying the place up on the cub. If you can
find a single wheel weight for the outboard side wheel it will feel a lot more stable. Good luck
freeing it up.
