Cub hydraulics ?

I picked up a far all cub for our tractor club with a front hydraulic lift Dozer. I need to get it cleaned up for use as a fund raiser raffle tractor. The blade was not connected to the tractor. The tractor starts and runs good but I'm not sure about the hydraulic lift. When I engage the little hydraulic lever I get no response from the hydraulics. It may be low on oil? Where do I check the hyd oil and what oil does it use ? I also need the two knuckles on the steering that the tie rod hooks to. Thanks for any help, Dick

There is a fill plug just under the hood on hyd tank. There is a small stud on the side to show oil level. I have always used 10/30 motor oil. Ed Will

Hi, I forgot to mention about the steering rod ends. I have bought quite a bit of stuff from JP tractor salvage. They have been wonderful to deal with. Real good people.

You have gotten some incorrect information. They hydraulic fluid should be HyTran or it's equivalent, do NOT use motor oil. It should be filled to the bottom of the fill plug near the top of the Touch Control unit, with the lever all the way to the rear. Once it is full put the plug back in but leave loose and cycle lever several times to get the air out. Once this is done and unit is working, refill with lever all the way back. If level is low and no evidence of external leak the pump is probably leaking oil inot the crankcase and needs repair. For detailed info on the cub and how to repair it you might want to try farmallcub dot com.
