i bought a kit to rebuild my marker cylinder(one way). i did one before and there was a trick to it that i cant remember. anyone has any directions or have done one recently. thanks

Is it the type of cylinder with a snap ring hiding inside?

If so, working through the oil port with a slender screwdriver or pick, you flop the snap ring over into a deeper groove next to the one it's in, allowing the rod to be withdrawn.

Reverse the procedure for reassembly, you have to flop the ring back over into the shallower groove.
