IH 64 Combine

So looks like we could use a Model 64 Combine to harvest all the beans we will be exporting to China in the coming years.
I bet you all are proud of your vote in the Fall of 2016!! Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!!!

Where will they get the millions and milllions of bushels they now get from us. They have too many people to feed. Where will they get pork there isnt any place else to go so stop worring they are still huge buyers and where can anyone else produce like we can. So you like sending our money elsewhere and not being at the same level in trade

At least there is finally someone that will stand up for our country instead of trying to sell us out like the last president. Fixing things sometimes hurts.

so the people who have been buying beans from them now will get beans from where. The market is there and getting bigger every day so we don't need to sell to China do we

Cmore, we had no choice in 2016. If you want a 64 I might be able to wrestle up one for you though, or an A6 Case would probably fit the bill also.

They can buy from Canada, especially pork considering they cut back production a few years back and all the infrastructure is still there ready to go. US cuts agricultural exports to China, Canadian farmers will happily pick up the slack.

It will take yrs for another country to build a hog industry as large as the USA. Stop and think just what it takes to raise enough hogs to feed Chinas demands and you aren't going to do it over nite. To start with who can raise enough corn to feed them.

Well, I can tell to you looking out my kitchen window I can see two hog farms running at 1/3 capacity that are more than capable of bringing production back up. Other countries will gladly pick up production the US cuts back on, the reality is the Chinese aren?t the ones who are going to lose out, it?s the American farmer. This is the worst forum to be discussing this type of thing on, we should stick with IH because that?s what keeps people coming to it, I shouldn?t have made a comment in the first place, but I like International combines and took the bait.

There are a whole host of countries that when production is added up could replace the US supplies to China. Places like Brazil, Argentina, Southern Europe, southern Canada, part of southern Africa, parts of southeast Asia, etc all have suitable growing conditions for soybeans. However all it would do is force a realignment of who sells to who. The US might find itself now supplying countries that had a supplier that is now supplying to China.i

Do you know why hog houses at 2/3 empty? The slaughter houses don't want any more hogs to kill. We have out produced the demand. Hog prices will not support high priced corn and beans if grain prices go back up. Also check into it people are not eating as much meat as they once did. There lot of things going wrong and why should we pay china 500 billion more than they are paying us
Just my oppion

Hope not. History does repeat itself though. The early eighties shakeout was iniated in the mid and late seventies, the beginning of the end of the family farm in rural America.

BINGO!!! You hit the nail right square on the head. Take it from a guy who worked in a ball bearing factory for more years than I care to remember, but was slowly squeezed out and forced to retire because the company set up shop in China and began competing with themselves.
