Wd6 no start

I'm in need a little help I'm trying to get my wd6 running by pull starting it. There's a lot of white smoke bit then it stops smoking and sounds like it's running but as soon as you push the clutch in it stops. Was it possibly to cold or is there something else going on? It was 2? and windy. Thanks in advance

It could be Jelling fuel. At 2 degrees F fuel gelling is sure possible. At 2 degrees C, less likely. If the white smoke stops the fuel is not being delivered. Pulling the tractor in cold conditions may take 1/2 mile or more of towing to get it hot enough to fire. Make sure the starting valves are closed by pulling the spark plugs and, while on the diesel mode, see if compression comes out of the plug holes. Jim

When you have it turning over good as you are pulling , give it a little shot of starting fluid in the air intake. It should fire right up. At 2 degrees the fuel should still flow but your filters will clog up fast. Don't give it to much starting fluid or it will knock lick crazy.
