450 drawbar plate braces

Flipping through the 450D IPLs, I encountered this little setup. A pair of braces and plate to use with the fixed drawbar and plate. Never seen these before today. Looking thru other IPLs, looks as though the same set of part numbers were used on the 400, 450, 460, 560, 340. Anybody have these? I'd like to see a set, maybe even find one.

I think all H's and M's came with that triangle piece, there was one laying around my dad's farm and see them on auction sales a lot too, but the braces not so much, it would strengthen the drawbar a quite a bit, those old Lahman stack mover's were heavy and would bend a M swinging drawbar.

Those must be a regional thing don't see them here in MI. Always see the swinging drawbar with either reinforcing or bent. We have added pieces to both our H and MD to keep them from bending or breaking.

I've never seen that bracing, we had two Ms with swinging draw bars and had an extension that was put on once a year for something, don't remember what or why.

Thay are still available I put a set on an MTA about 2 years ago. the drawbar extension was used to conform to standard pto length when that came about. Heavy loads like manure spreaders were stressing out the drawbar pad without the braces so they made the braces to help

I know that drawbar plate was for tractors not equipped equipped with a swinging drawbar so PTO implements could be hitched properly. From the owners manuals.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the swinging drawbar. Always loose, rattly, and mangled. My 560 swinging drawbar is actually rigidly bolted to the horseshoe bar with an old extension plate turned backwards and underneath. Very strong.

Yes. That triangle plate was developed to provide a "standard" drawbar length for PTO driven machinery. That plate allowed PTO equipment from ANY manufacturer to be used on a Farmall tractor.

Triangle 6642D, LH brace 368391R1, Rh Brace 368392R1, Bottom support 368393R1----I found these at a dealer in Wisconsin but can not remember the name but it was about 2 years ago and they still had a few sets in stock
