TD6 starter

Has broke the key for the Bendix twice. Any ideas?

Key loose in seat? Oversize slot in Bendix? Bendix loose on shaft? A key repeatedly failing sounds like the parts are getting a running start at it.

Starter guy put a new Bendix and key in it last time. See what he comes up with this time. He thinks timing. I haven't changed it but I'm sure it needs a tune up.
