I'm not to familiar with a M that much. I have the chance to buy a M&W hand clutch of a M. The only thing I would have to put it on is a H. Would it fit? Thanks for the help

NOPE

Not even close. Buy an M.In fact, a 'clutch' for an M will not a Super M,either. Don't ask how I know that! LOL

Probably got his answer and is not coming back, but just in case. The M is basically a scaled up H, so there is actually a percentage number that the parts were sized up. I don?t know what it is but it has been posted on here before. Some items such as the steering shaft the wheel fits on stayed the same size but for the most part all parts of it are comparatively upsized. Not 100% certain but I think the M&W hand clutch replaces the left bull pinion gear. That is how it works, the internal shaft provided with the clutch goes through the hollow replacement bull pinion gear and splines into the differential side gear. The hand clutch simply completes the power flow from the internal shaft back to the replacement bull pinion gear when it is engaged. When the hand clutch in disengaged the differential is simply spinning as it would if one wheel is spinning in mud etc. and the other is stopped. Hmmm?clear as mud? Lol. The real point was that the sized up parts from the M to the H will not interchange.

Yep.You are correct. I have both? H/SH and M/SM.Very few h/M parts interchange. There are also some differences in the super/nonsuper series tractors that I've found.Like you said, the M/W clutch does 'unhook' one side of the diffrential.Acctually,it was a pretty ingenius design.
