It followed me home

There is something about the way a 400 looks so when I had an opportunity to buy one reasonable it followed me home. Runs good , has the same hydraulic going on pressure noise as my one 560 that I have not resolved yet. Had to put a narrow on it so I could cram it into my garage. I need to sell one but they are not ready yet.

Looks like a nice original.

The hydraulic pressure noise you speak of........have you messed with the two/one way knobs on the tractors?

Not sure on the 400, but they are about boot top high below the dash on the 560....kind of a round knob with flat spots a wrench will fit on to turn.

my 400 had that noise too, it was caused by the metal lines vibrating under the hood by the gas tank, I wedged rubber between the tank and lines and the sound went away.

they are up high under the hood, just behind the instruments. Remove the right side hood. They are a 'royal pain' to get to.

I have the same tractor. I love the way they look and since I'm not working it anymore the tricycle front is not an issue

I have a 450 with that noise until it warms up. How do you turn the two/one way knobs to help this problem?
