can some one tell me if the fenders for a 240 are the same s an international 300 utility. thanks norm

I made my own for my "H". Found some brand or other, cut them to about the correct clam-shell shape, had a friend weld up U-shape brackets. Then I took a few lengths of 1" EMT electrical tubing, split it down one side with a skil-saw, notched it every few inches so it'd bend, and bent her to the clam-shell shape. Started at one end, welded and bent and welded some more and bent and etc. etc. Looks perfect, works ever perfecter, since unlike the sharp clam-shell edge, these edges are smooth and round and perfect for grabbing. Couldn't be happier.

They are not the same.

A 300 Utility uses the same fender shell shape as a Farmall H or M, a very flat clamshell, almost no curve to it.

The 240 Utility uses the same fender shell shape as the 460 and 560, which is a much larger, more curved clamshell that protects the operator from the tire better.

Now that's not to say you can't use one on the other. I personally like the later clamshell shape better and if I can get them I use them.

The main problem is the 240 has a hex axle housing where the fender clamps around it, and the 300 has a square axle housing where the fender bolts to the top of it. You will need to do some fabrication to mount fenders from one on the other.
