William Deering was a harvesting equipment maker at the end of the 1800's. he merged with McCormick (IHC) in the early 1900's. The
Deering name was used into the 1950's on both some tractors (McCormick-Deering), and stand alone on products/supplies. From the
Phone Number My guess is 1920's. Very nice sign. How big is it? Jim

Used red mn...thank you for your information!! We live about ten miles into ohio from the indiana line, however the guy that found it lives just inside Indiana.

That's Aroma Indiana, There were some of those signs in my Grandfather's barn near there.

Aroma, also called Toad Lope by the locals, is located west of Indiana SR 37 on 281st Street in White River Township, Hamilton County, IN

IIRC W.E. Morris owned the farm before my grandparents moved there. Not sure where he ran the business from.

Jim, I think a lot of us find your comments on this sign interesting, so never mind the original poster.

IIRC W.E. Morris owned the farm before my grandparents moved there. Not sure where he ran the business from.

Had a family reunion recently and learned that Mr Morris was not a very good businessman and had lost and recovered his farm on multiple occasions. Mrs. Morris was a bit of a nasty person and harassed my grandparents informing that they would get their farm back from them. Didn't happen as my grandparents lived the rest of their lives ( both to age 97 years) on the place.
