ORCHARD vs GROVE

I notice that some old O models and OS models say orchard, while some say GROVE. I thought at one point that the O's said ORCHARD and the OS's said Grove, but that has been debunked. Can anyone offer any concrete insight? I'd really like to see something that supports the response in the way of literature, because the web is littered with conflicting opinions on this.

Thanks!

Here is my take on the subject. Disclaimer up front: Can't back it up with literature. Parts books offer both "Orchard" and "Grove" decals for the IH orchard-type tractors. I think the decal used was a geography issue. "Grove" decaled tractors were found in the Florida orange groves; you never hear them referred to as 'orange orchards'. Whereas "Orchard" decaled tractors found their way to, for example, Michigan apple orchards; never hear them referred to as 'apple groves'.
I may be proved wrong with later postings finding exceptions to the above.
