ive been foolin with a farmall 560 d282 engine I looked a up tisco sleeve piston kit here on yesterdays tractor it was $504 and some change a couple weeks ago. well tonight I decided to go ahead and order the tisco pk174 kit and the price has jumped to $713 and change I liked to have fell out my chair. now I got to rethink putting the ole gal back together now looks like I may to have to give up this hobby altogether :(

Never give up. Money spent on tractors does not count. You are SUPPOSED to spend on what you love, that's the whole point. [And I MEAN this, not being funny.] Is it better to have a few hundred more bucks parked in the bank drawing one more penny interest every year, or invested in a wonderful tractor in the barn you are proud of?

When I was looking two years ago at rebuilding the Diesel I have, that seemed like the prices then. One I think is for sleeves and pistons minus the bearings and the other is for with them.

Try logging on on a different computer or just delete your cookies. I have seen the same thing on Amazon and eBay. Shop around,I bought my last rebuild kit local for $200.00 less than online and it came a Tisco set(almost everything out there it going to be Tisco).

nope I just need the sleeves piston kit that's what the pk 174 tisco is I already have bearings and gaskets. I am not picking on YT this kit has gone up across the board

Not really , if i want just sleeve and piston kit that come with the rings and pin this is what i get and they are NOT TISCO . They will be either Sealed Power , Cleveite or perfect circle , IF i want just one sleeve this is what i get if i need just one piston this is what i get . And the fact that i do not SHOP ON LINE .

Ya gotta watch some (say) eBay listings. If you look at a radiator listed at say $300 , look at another and then click back on the one you looked at three minutes ago, it will have jumped up to $370 or such. They have a program that automatically does that. I,
by phone, challenged an ag parts place on that and he had a name for the "raise price if someone shows interest" program.

Just a thought. Get head checked for cracks before you order parts. There are two different 560 heads. One that is cracked and one that is going to crack. Good luck
